Tulum Destination Wedding
Delek Tulum is an eco-forward luxury resort in the heart of Tulum, Mexico inspired by historic native architecture, sustainability, and the unparalleled natural beauty of the Mayan Riviera. A resort that encompasses the best of two distinct worlds: the exotic Yucatán jungle and the warm white sand beaches of the Caribbean—this was the ideal location for James and Cary’s wedding weekend. Throughout the resort, sand pathways wind through thick foliage leading you on a jungle exploration past luxurious grass roof cabana guest rooms placed throughout the estate. At the far end of the property lies a private beach oasis framed by soaring palms where the wedding festivities took place. Designer Lali Renovatto took cues from the natural beauty of Tulum and producing a timeless affair with a bohemian color palette: dusty corals, natural linens, and soft turquoise mimicking the crystal sea just steps away. Natural wood and stone with pops of gold metallics gave a modern twist to the bohemian vibe. Florals consisting of a mix of dried and fresh flowers were inspired by native foliage with sunburst grasses and cascading palm fronds. The beachside ceremony was adorned with chairs placed directly on the white sand. Guests made their way to the al fresco reception space, steps away from the beach at Delek Tulum’s fabulous chef-inspired restaurant which focuses on locally-sourced and seasonal Mexican and Caribbean dishes. Tables were appointed with abundant floral arrangements, pillar candles, and elegant tableware. After a night of festivities, James, Cary, and their guests danced under the stars, enveloped by the warm Caribbean sea breeze and the sound of waves lapping just a few steps away.
