New England Autumn Engagement Session in Ogunquit, Maine
There’s nothing quite like autumn in New England! Kate and Holly reached out to us to photograph their wedding at the Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. Though they now consider themselves New Hampshire residents, Holly is from Southern California. With their destination wedding scheduled to take place on California’s Central Coast, we were so excited when we had the opportunity to work with Kate and Holly for their engagement session in Ogunquit, Maine. East truly meets West with this duo, we met up first at Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge in Wells, Maine. When Kate and Holly expressed interest in the coastal Maine backdrop during peak foliage in autumn, we couldn’t refuse! Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge is a gorgeous sprawling national wildlife refuge which runs along fifty miles of Southern Maine. Winding paths and wooden foot bridges lead to gorgeous vistas. The two practiced their first dance surrounded by the golden glow of autumn. Then we made our way to the quaint New England village of Ogunquit where we strolled Marginal Way, a cliff walk with breathtaking views, for some candid and intimate engagement photos. Kate and Holly showed us where Kate popped the question, sitting on bench number 36 overlooking the Atlantic. Though it was windy, we had that beautiful autumn light so quintessential to the Northeast. After the sunset, we joined Kate and Holly for a socially distanced dinner at their favorite restaurant “The Front Porch”, a festive piano bar with live music.
