Coastal Maine Wedding

Arya and Logan celebrated their marriage at the splendid Bar Harbor Club, with sweeping vistas of Frenchman Bay–a perfect viewpoint for the Porcupine Isles just offshore as well as the eponymous Bar Island sandbar at each low tide. This location held a special meaning for the newlyweds, who not only each independently spent time in ”Fogtown” with their families, but they also took a fortuitous trip here together—their first long distance jaunt as a couple. They welcomed their wedding guests for a fabulous weekend in Vacationland with a scenic cruise on a historic four-masted schooner around the bay followed by an intimate welcome reception that transported guests straight to the Spanish countryside. Their wedding design leaned into the coastal chic that comes so effortlessly to a locale like Bar Harbor–soft blue linens; cascades of florals in pastel purples, periwinkles, and ivories; a beautiful sailcloth seating chart; signature cocktails themed from the couple’s alma maters; and a divine menu of New England’s finest cuisine. Delightful surprises were planned throughout the celebration, from guests being welcomed to cocktail hour by a wall of espresso martini shots, to individual jars of mini lobster gummies at the escort card wall. But one showcase surprise was left for the end of the evening: as the fog rolled in and the sun set beyond the mountains of Acadia National Park, an epic fireworks display lit up the bay below–a truly magical moment in celebration of two of the most wonderful and kind people we’ve had the distinct pleasure of photographing.
