Kimpton Canary Hotel Wedding in Santa Barbara, California

As queer photographers, documenting stories of love for fellow LGBT couples is a mission that is near to our hearts. And Kate and Holly’s destination Santa Barbara wedding was a very special occasion for us! We’ve been working with Kate and Holly for a few years, and after a number of postponements, the couple were married in in a stunning al fresco destination wedding at the Kimpton Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. Images from this wedding were featured in Dancing With Her. To start the day, we took the couple to a small enclave near the Santa Barbara Historical Museum for some truly stunning portraits. Afterwards, we made our way to the Kimpton Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara’s “El Pueblo Viejo” historic core. This historic landmark hotel features gorgeous old Spanish details including period tile work and a clay roof. The ceremony space was located on the rooftop, with a panoramic view of Santa Barbara all the way to the Pacific Ocean. The ceremony space was adorned with white and blush florals which perfectly complimented the old Spanish details of the hotel. Kate and Holly recited their vows in an intimate ceremony with the warm coastal California sun and the see breeze off the Pacific Ocean—it was truly magical!
